PaperFoam develops emergency shelter
Together with XIE Wei, a student of Architecture school of Versailles in Paris, PaperFoam developed a special “brick” that can be used to make a solid house within 24 hours.
A very unique and intelligent tray design makes the PaperFoam “brick” interlockable in 4 directions. You can build up a wall easily with just sand and PaperFoam bricks. Once you’ve build your shelter, paint the outside to make the walls rain proof and your shelter is ready!
The PaperFoam shelter will protect you from wind, water and cold thanks to the insulating properties of the material and filling.
When it needs be taken down, it does not result in plastic pollution in the area, PaperFoam will disintegrate to healthy compost for the soil.
Currently we are testing how this emergency shelter will survive in heavy weather, knowing that PaperFoam does absorb water.
If you are interested in helping us to commercialize the emergency shelter, please do not hesitate to contact us.
